Seller of the Week: Chase Smith from The Bicycle Station

Welcome back to another edition of Seller of the Week: the blog series where we ask our favorite sellers five easy questions!

This week’s seller of the week is Chase Smith from The Bicycle Station in Columbus, Indiana. She recently listed several bikes and parts with us, including this 2023 Trek Superfly and this 2019 Specialized Diverge!

How did you get into bikes?

My dad and brothers all rode and tried for years to get me into cycling but I was stubborn and stuck with running. I finally ended up joining Teter Cycling, a Little 500 team at IU which got me into road. From there I started venturing into gravel and mountain bike! I just enjoy it all this point.

What bike do you ride the most?

I probably end up on my gravel bike the most. Our area has an endless amount of gravel roads that are easy to hop on regardless of the season. Right now I’m riding a Trek Checkpoint.

What is your favorite bike ride?

I don’t even know how to pick a favorite ride! My husband is super into Wandrer Earth and is always making us new routes. So any ride adventuring to a new-to-us area is probably my favorite.

Campy or Shimano?

Probably SRAM! I don’t even think I’ve had anything but SRAM for the last few year.

Any big plans for the next year?

This year I’m focusing on just getting back into riding after having my baby. I’m going to do a few races, but I’m mostly playing it by ear. I’m putting on a 60 mile gravel race in May and maybe another in the fall, so I’m probably going to take a small step back from racing to work on those and learn how to juggle riding and having a baby!
