These are pre-production Pacenti PDent handlebars, manufactured by the best carbon facility in Taiwan. I switched to 35mm bar diameter just before putting these into production for marketing reasons...
There are no stems available for these bars that can take advantage of the dimple, but otherwise work perfectly well with any length stem.
A resourceful person might machine or have made a stem for these bars as short as 20.1mm to make full use of the patented dimple.
The dimple does nothing to reduce the bar's strength, in fact they have been fully tested and exceed all EU test requirements for carbon MTB handlebars. Do a Google search for Pacenti PDent to see several outstanding reviews and multiple "Product of the Year" awards.
The specs are:
• 31.8mm clamping area
• 800mm wide
• 5° x 8° up / back sweep
• Exceeds all EU testing requirements
