This is Chimera. She was built to sprint and climb and grind, carrying all your cargo, for mile after mile, day after day, until all your mountains are conquered.

Inspired by the Trek 1120, Ritchey Ascent, and Surly Karate Monkey.

Repainted and renamed her frame from a Jamis Dragon One. Built her up, rode her for a season. But there's not a lot of off-roading in my future. So I'm hoping to find her a new home in time for the Fall and Winter adventure cycling season.

I'm accepting offers! I'm also willing to break her down and sell the parts separately. So let me know if you're interested in anything.

Question Two questions - Is this 19" center to center or center to top of top tube? Jamis frames usually ran 15/17/19 - so I'm wondering about fit at 5'9" tall.

Also - I live in Connecticut - do you ever make your way into CT as a possible way to avoid shipping if we were to strike a deal?

That's 19 inches from the center of the bottom bracket shell to the top of the seat tube. In the official catalog, the original Jamis Dragon One was a medium at 19 inches. I'm 5'10" with a standover height of 32 inches and it fits me great.

I'm afraid I don't drive and have a job that requires me to stick to the city, so taking this on a train to CT is not an option. But I can give you a deal on the shipping (which will be done by my local bike shop) if you're interested. Especially if you're also buying some of the extras or other items I'm selling. Make an offer!

Question Hi,
I have a question regarding the size of the Jamis you have listed, I am 5’9” and wondering if the size of the frame would be a good fit for my height, being that the bike is a 29er?
Thank you,
Nico

Hi Nico! I'm 5'10" and it fits me quite nicely. The good thing about this rig is that because of the sloping top tube and long seatpost, standover height won't be a problem for you. And everything else (reach, set back, all the different angles) can be adjusted easily or changed by swapping out a part or two.
