COLNAGO C59 Italia - Frameset - 48S (52 Traditional)

On Deck is the Colnago C59 Italia Frameset.
Purchased as NOS in May 2021 from Belmont Wheelworks.
Handmade in Cambiago, Italy - Handpainted in Tuscany - "because that's where the artists are" (Ernesto Colnago).

This is a Colnago C59 sloping top tube frameset in 48S Colnago size - this equates to 52 cm "traditional" sizing - as shown in the attached table. The current rider rides a 52 cm Battaglin and can attest to the sizing.

The ride quality is impeccable - not overly stiff but very reactive. Compliant and comfortable for long rides. The lugged - tube construction is unique and stands the test of time. Built in 2012 when carbon frames were still undergoing an era of innovation. Colnago frames are also well known for having some of the most rigorous testing programs and use safety factors much higher than other frame counterparts.

The frame is being sold because I'm building a new Maiorosse frame for myself. Never been raced. Never been dropped. Only ridden on asphalt. Treated like a baby. All images show the slight wear marks.
