Hi, I'm the MTB Recyclist (@the_mtb_recyclist on Instagram) and I specialize in vintage '90s mountain bikes, particularly steel. This "Ice Inkwell Blue" 1996 Trek 930 is yet ANOTHER unique colored 930 I've gotten into inventory. Let me tell you about it!
It's a 19.5" center-to-top True Temper OX Comp Cro-Moly MADE IN THE USA frame (as you would expect) and the color as I said is "Ice Inkwell Blue." Decals are grey, correct and mostly intact (just a few scrapes here and there). It has a 22.5" top tube and takes a 27.2 mm seat post (the one shown in the photos is NOT INCLUDED, but should be available in my other listings, as well as the one that was on the bike originally.) Rear spacing is 135 mm. There is one small mark likely indicating a very brief chainsuck incident. Bottom bracket spins very nicely.
This bike was adult owned since new and mostly well kept. That said, there are what I'd consider an average amount of nicks and scrapes, and some surface rust. See the photos!
