59cm Soma Fabrications/Rivendell San Marcos frameset

For sale is a 59cm Soma Fabrications San Marcos sport/touring frameset. This was a collaboration with Rivendell Bicycle Works and has been out of production since 2016. Grant Petersen of Rivendell designed the frame and it uses the nice lugs that Rivendell is known for. The seat tube is 59cm center to top and the effective top tube length is 59 cm as well. The head tube measures 219mm and the fork is designed for a one-inch threaded headset. The double top tube was intended to strengthen the frame in the larger sizes and prevent unwanted flexing. A Velo Orange Grand Cru headset is included in the sale and installed. Head tube angle is 72.5 degrees and the seat tube is 72 degrees, so you can build this into a bike that will have lively handling but not twitchy. The frame is designed around 700c wheels with a 130mm quick release rear hub. You will need 57mm reach brakes and a 27.2mm seat post to build up this frame. There is a minor scratch to the paint on the top tube and scuffing to the drop-outs from wheels being put in and taken out. Other than that, the finish is in excellent condition.
