1992 Marin Team Issue Frameset

Listing here a project I never quite got going. The initial plan was to bring this bike "home" and get it back into the marin headlands. I wanted to restore it but I had the hard realization that it's too big for me so on it goes.

It's a 1992 Marin Team Issue which was top of the heap. Tange Prestige Ultra Lite tube set, triple butted. In person you can see the really subtle ridges on the downtube that pictures won't capture. Size is 17.5"

Also with the frame comes the triple butted 750g marin fork.

1992 was the first year of Shimano XTR and this bike had it. The original XTR M900 1 1/8" threaded headset is included.

PO stripped the decals for a stealth look. I ordered a replica set from the best guy making retro decals in the UK though I also wanted a semi stealth look so I had all the yellow text turned anthracite grey. These decals are included (complete set)

I sourced a new old stock Marin Lite 130mm stem which would have been original to the bike, it's included.

The original Marin Lite seatpost binder is also included.

The whole package is extremely neat condition, no pitting in the nickel plated frame. The fork paint is very clean. No rust in the bottom bracket shell. I wish it were the size down!
