Hi, I'm the MTB Recyclist (@the_mtb_recyclist on Instagram) and I specialize in vintage '90s mountain bikes, particularly steel. I have "re-homed" 100+ bikes and this is, by far, the most special I've encountered to date (that I'm reselling and not currently RIDING).

The 1989 GT Karokoram is LEGENDARY for its strength, durability and design. That makes it special. Its color, granite gray with black and white speckles, with the matching stem, also makes it special. But the CONDITION of this frame is what truly sets it apart...

While it's not PERFECT, it's PRETTY DARN CLOSE as the photos and video I've prepared will show. The paint is gorgeous, with what has to be all of its original shine, and I didn't even polish it - I just cleaned it well. There are a few very small dings and surface rust but you're going to have to look pretty hard to find them. Decals are bright and almost perfect, with damage only to one on the seat tube. The headset and bottom bracket presumably need new grease but they both spin wonderfully. The chainstay appears to have never come in contact with a chain, and chainsuck? As we say here in Jersey, fuggedaboutit! The photos and video tell the tale.

It's a 20" (center-to-top) model with a 22" top tube. I can measure other dimensions if needed. The seat post size is 26.4, the one shown is not included buy might be available, contact me if desired. Seat post binder shown is included.

The listing photos here are good, but I've also got an online dedicated gallery, available here as well: https://jpegbay.com/gallery/008696775-.html#1

About the shipping cost ... the amount shown is the maximum anyone would pay, and represents the cost to get the frame (safely packed in a bike box with multiple internal reinforcements - see the last photo) from my home in New Jersey to Seattle, Washington. YOU COULD PAY LESS! If you live closer, message me, and I will tell you EXACTLY what it will cost, update the listing, and you can make the purchase. Easy-peasy! Also, the last photo in the set shows you how I pack and ship bikes. I block the rear triangle, brace the frame in several spots with cardboard, secure it with zip ties, and more. I ship things the way *I* would want to receive them!

That about does it. If by chance you need any components to complete your build, please let me know! Thanks!
