Selling this for a friend who hasn't ridden it in years. When he did ride it, he was only on bike paths and neighborhood streets. It's a true vintage MTB, a 1986 Peugeot US Express, in gloss black and with a lot of extras: stem, headset, seat post, bottom bracket, and more. It's a great starting point for your vintage MTB or gravel bike project!
I measure this as a 19.5" frame (center to top) with a top tube of 22.75". The paint is in good condition generally with the usual scrapes, marks and scuffs. I didn't polish it but suspect it would come RIGHT BACK if you did. There is some rust here and there - the headset, some of the water bottle cage bolts, but nothing of any consequence that I can see on the frame itself. Decals are complete, mostly undamaged and look great. I don't see any evidence of chainsuck (look at those chainstays, how they are much closer together near the BB shell. Maybe those French knew something other bike manufacturers didn't?)
Spacing is 130mm. Headset and bottom bracket both need new grease but I'd be happy to do it for you with fresh Phil green grease for an extra $15, please let me know before you purchase the frame and I'll make the necessary arrangements.
I'm also including the SR 170 mm crankset, which has bent chainrings, in case you want to straighten them for use (they are steel and should be pretty easy to true up.)
