Trek Bikes

Trek was founded in 1976 by Dick Burke and Bevil Hogg, building lugged steel touring frames out of a barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin. The company grew rapidly and introduced its first bonded aluminum frame in 1985, followed by its first molded carbon fiber frame in 1989. Trek acquired Klein, Fisher, Lemond and Bontrager in the mid-90s, and then grew even larger during its association with Lance Armstrong. Today Trek is a billion dollar corporation, producing millions of bicycles all over the world.
