Used Bike Clothing?

Do you buy used bike clothing? We all know that good bike stuff tends to be expensive. And sometimes you can find great stuff used in great shape at a very good price.

I’m pretty old school and dorky when it comes to clothing (and I still mostly wear lycra). And when I find stuff I like, I tend to stick with it. My favorites are Pearl Izumi tights, vests and jackets, Voler jerseys (both long and short sleeve), SockGuy or Smartwool socks and Louis Garneau shorts.

I tend to wear stuff til it basically rots off me. But sometimes I get gifts which don’t fit or aren’t my style so I list them for sale (like this rad PDM jersey).

Clothing is a big business and an extremely wasteful business. Patagonia has been very transparent about the environmental and labor issues around clothing. And in the bike world, Kitsbow has done the same. All their stuff is top notch and made in the USA.

Patagonia launched a used clothing store in 2017 and now Kitsbow has done the same, powered by the folks at Treet. I love the idea.
