The biggest issues we see with listing photos on BikeList and elsewhere are distracting backgrounds, poor lighting and bad crops. It’s not rocket science! And keep in mind that when taking photos to sell your stuff is a bit different than pure beauty shots–you want to be thorough and show the good with the bad.
For anyone curious about the red and blue Eddy Merckx bike in the video: it’s one of bikes ridden by Thomas Bay, a professional rider from Denmark who rode with Motorola in 1993–along with Andy Hampsten, Sean Yates, Steve Bauer, Lance Armstrong and Phil Anderson–what a team! This is something of a holy grail bike for me and it’s definitely not for sale!
It's that time of year--time to break out the bike lights and test your batteries. I like having these cheapo Planet Bike Spok blinkies at a minimum (usually combined with a higher wattage Light and Motion headlight--more on those later). I especially like the way the rear Spok light fits on my POC helmet.
Are you ready for winter?
