Vintage Diamondback Arrival Mountain Bike 1987 Size Large - Made in Japan

Very nice 1987 Diamondback Arrival Vintage Mountain Bike, rare 7005 aluminum made in Japan. Paint has some chips and nicks from normal use but paint is in great shape otherwise. Size is Large, 20" center of bottom bracket to center of top tube. Size is best suited for riders in the 5'10" to 6' height range. Wheels are 26", has all original Suntour components including rear roller cam brakes, bear trap pedals and large flange Suzue sealed hubs w/ arraya RM-20 rims.

This was DiamondBack's finest in technology for the earliest production all-terrain bikes.

Designed in the USA but fabricated in Japan with a tig welded 7000 series aluminum frame and Tange cromoloy steel forks.

* Fluted alloy seat post and aluminum handlebars and stem.
* Front brake is the cantilever type and the rear is a roller cam type mounted underneath on the chain stays.
* Shimano Cranks with Bio-Pace elliptical chainrings

Bike is all original, including the Centurion saddle. Paint is still bright with no oxidation but there are some nicks and scratches.

Has alloy thumb lever shifters for the 18 speeds. Brake levers are large enough to be used on a small motorcycle.
Hits all the gears, brakes work great - no mechanical issues - ready to ride.

These older bike store brands were built really tough and make great highly reliable 'around town' bikes, this bike has a responsive road feel with the aluminum frame and a chromoly fork to help soak up the bumps.
