Here is a chance to get a unique piece of mountain bike history. For sale is a unused old stock Browning Automatic Transmission. The triple crankset was originally slated for Specialized's Team Stumpjumper back in 1988. To be used on their first carbon mountain bikes. Browning was an equipment sponsor of the team delivering this short lived automatic gear changing crankset. All the mechanisms are still in working order.
Issues: The electronic/battery box has three cover mountings tabs that are detached, please see images. And the gasket for this box has disintegrated. The box still closes and I feel that one could use three small washing in conjunction with the screws to keep the cover on.
