Answer Manitou FS/HT series of bikes were built under license from Doug Bradbury starting in 1992 it was one of the most iconic bikes of the 90’s. nearly every single component was made on a CNC machine.

These epic Manitou bikes are a thing of beauty, fully made from a solid piece of Aluminum billet it represents the pinnacle of 1990’s CNC MTB design.

The FS was considered revolutionary as a suspension bike in 1993 this design essentially used fork legs for the rear struts.

The FS frames will always be remembered for revolutionary use of fork legs for the rear suspension. At the time, it was a clever solution. Most of the parts were already being produced for the front legs so they just needed to clamp them in a special "crown" and plug in some "dropouts" to attach to the lower swing arm.

The suspension was active and plush, as the construction of these frames made extensive use of hollow CNC junctions, resulting in a very light frame, For a Full Suspension bike, If the early 1990s era of mountain bikes were defined by CNC components the Manitou Bikes are the epitome of this era Rolling Art
