Bruce Gordon was the godfather of gravel bikes. This one is not one of his custom builds but one of a hundred or so he had handbuilt in Japan to his specifications. I read somewhere he made them do a full miter on the tubes even with the lugs, so that's cool, and makes for a solid frame even under a load. This would have been a light touring bike which is exactly how I have used it for the last few years. It really is a wonderful bike but it is just a little too small for me at 58cm. I rode it again today just to be sure this is what I want to do but unfortunately it's just a hair too small. It is outfitted with all the original XT components with the exception of the front hub which was changed out for a later model LX at some point in it's life. It has a Japanese made Strong seat post, Ti railed WTB saddle, and Cinelli bar and stem. I recently rebuilt the rear wheel with a NOS Mavic MA40 to match the front as the original rear rim was a single wall Araya and was giving me trouble with the fatter tires. I just put the fenders and 32cm tires on it for the winter but I still have the 39cm gravel tires for it if you want them. Just let me know. Look at the pictures they tell more of the story of this bike. Feel free to send me a message and I can fill in any other details. Thanks
Jon

New update. I have put a taller nitto stem on it and taken the toe clips off but it still has the XT pedals.

I really like this bike. I would have purchased it but I typically ride a 56. What a beauty.

Hello, it’s 58cm Center to center on the seat tube and 57cm center to center on the actual top tube
