BikeList for Nonprofits and Co-Ops updated!

April 7, 2023 2:02pm by dan

It's always been 100% free for Bike Co-Ops and related not-for-profits to sell on BikeList - - we waive all fees for 501(c)(3)s, which is a pretty good deal! We released an update last week to make it easier to find nonprofits in the marketplace.

1. There's now a "Nonprofit" label on listings for verified organizations.

2. And a label on the member profile.

3. And the Nonprofit page now includes a list of all Nonprofit members and their active listings.

We'll be adding more benefits for our Nonprofit members throughout the year. If you know of a Co-Op, please send them our way!

Deals on Womens Cycling Shoes!

You might be wondering: what's up with all of the womens cycling shoes on BikeList today? Let me explain.

Our friends at the non-profit Pedal It Forward in Northwest Arkansas collect, refurbish, then distribute free or low-cost bicycles to folks who can’t afford them. It's a great cause.

They sometimes get items that are a little tricky to distribute through their program. Things like high end road bikes, accessories, and even cycling new shoes. That's why we have the BikeList non-profit program for organizations like Pedal It Foward. We waive our seller fees for these non-profits and help promote their listings.

Know of any non-profits with items to unload? Send them our way!

Also, give Pedal It Forward a hand and check out their listings.

Giving Tuesday With Pedal It Forward

We at BikeList are dedicated to supporting the nonprofit bike shops that serve our communities. To help nonprofit shops clear donated inventory they may struggle to sell locally, we are offering all nonprofit shops the ability to post and sell items on BikeList for free. You can read more about our program here.

We are thrilled to welcome Pedal It Forward into our nonprofit program. Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, Pedal It Forward’s "mission is to increase the number of people using bikes for health, transportation, or recreation. ... Simply put, we collect used bikes, fix them, then distribute to those in need through our 60+ Pedal Partners. We serve rural and urban low-income kids, adults and families, at-risk youth, minority and immigrant populations in Northwest Arkansas."

Pedal it Forward has listed several items on BikeList and plans to add more in the future. By purchasing these items on BikeList you can be sure that 100% of the purchase price will go to supporting a great cause.
